About the museum and its collection

Museo Robert Brady preserves Casa de la Torre, a historic house that became the home of collector Robert Brady. The building is behind Cuernavaca Cathedral and began as part of a Franciscan convent built in the 16th century.

Brady bought and restored Casa de la Torre in 1962, then lived there for nearly 25 years. The rooms and collection were preserved as he left them before his death in 1986, giving the museum the character of a home as well as a place to view objects.

Google Arts & Culture presents 81 collection items and virtual tours of the museum’s exterior and interior. That offers a way to get a sense of the house before you visit in person.
